Mission

Our Mission:

“To provide veterans and their families with a facility where a variety of fundamental services can be accessed at one location.”

How we do it

The Veterans One Stop (VOS) is the first comprehensive veteran service organization of its kind in the nation.

Our military men and women didn’t face their mission alone while serving their country and should not have to do it alone while adjusting to civilian life. Collaborations with local, state, and national partners are critical to our success. So, how do we do it? The generous donation of time and resources by our sponsors, partner organizations, and Military Veteran Peer Network (MVPN) volunteers make the Veterans One Stop possible.

The Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network (formerly Heart of Texas Region MHMR Center) facilitated the beginning of the Veterans One Stop (VOS) in 2012. The agency purchased a new location in December 2015, where the VOS currently operates. VOS continues to provide administrative support, the facility and the cost of utilities, etc
